Discover Blount helps you learn the exciting ins and outs of our community. Showcasing tourism, health, education, industry, history, and service, you'll quickly Discover why Blount County is one the greatest places to live, work, and play in the world. You'll meet new people and learn how to take advantage of all this county has to offer.
In collaboration with community partners, Discover Blount is a fun, unique showcase of Blount County. The program introduces participants to resources in our county and identifies opportunities to become more involved. The Discover Blount program consists of six, 5 hour Discover Days over the course of three months.
Forty participants are accepted on a first come-first serve basis. While anyone is welcome to participate, the program is aimed at emerging leaders, those new to Blount County, and anyone wanting to become more involved in the community. The minimum number of participants to run the program is 25. If we do not reach the minimum, we ask that you please defer to the following spring session. Go Discover!

One aspect of Pinnacle’s mission is for our firm and our associates to be positive and active role models in our communities. Discover Blount provides a vehicle for our associates to learn about the community in greater detail so that they can do a better job of becoming that positive and active role model. The program time commitment (6 afternoons) and reasonable cost ($325) are such that it is not a burden to have someone out and is very reasonable for the knowledge and the experience a participant gains. Pinnacle pays the fee as we see this as an investment in our associates, and our associates see participation in the program as a way that the firm is investing in them – a real win-win.
